A atriz e cantora Gale Strom, estrela da televisão em My Little Margie e Gale Storm Show, morreu aos 87 anos de causas naturais em um hospital de Danville, no último sábado (27), segundo a agência de notícias Associated Press.

A série estrelada por Gale durante os quatro anos que ficou no ar, My Little Margie, foi vista por milhões de telespectadores. Após o sucesso, a atriz fez Gale Storm Show, que terminou em 1960.

Depois disso, Gale Storm seguiu carreira de cantora e continuou fazendo aparições ocasionais na TV, como nos programas Burke's Law, The Love Boat e Murder, She Wrote.

Na década de 70, a atriz, que teve quatro filhos - Phillip, Peter, Paul e Susie -, sofreu com o alcoolismo.
